Diffraction Grating cross for laser beams.
It consists of vertical and horizontal stripes marked on a transparent surface of optical glass, using a regular pattern, which splits (diffracts) light into several beams traveling in different directions.
The directions of these beams depend on the grid spacing and the wavelength of incident light, so that the network acts as a dispersive element.
